Your course as an island. Every concept is a landmark in the state your work shows; a fading palm is a concept you are about to lose. Nothing is bought with time.

Your Score

Measure.

Marlio measures knowing. Hold, accuracy and the score you are heading for, as dials; each of the last seven days; the odds of every score; every unit of the course. All of it read from your own work, and shown only once four conditions hold.

3attempts per concept

60%of the course assessed

0.50largest standard error

30days, oldest median evidence

Your Score for the demo student, AP Statistics: the navy instrument with hold, the predicted score band and accuracy as three dials, coverage and what is due; below it hold and accuracy for each of the last seven days, the odds of each AP score, and readiness unit by unit.
Your Score for the demo student, AP Statistics. Authored sample work; no real student appears on this site.

Plan

  1. 1You supply the hours. Marlio owns everything inside them, and never rounds up to fill.
  2. 2A closed day never receives work. Lateness is counted against the day it is drawn on.
  3. 3Nothing is dropped silently. What the week cannot hold comes back named.
  4. 4Every recall figure is the curve evaluated at the moment the item is due. No number is typed.

Plan.

Plan for the sample student: the week as seven columns, each day's minutes set by the student, each item sized to its minutes.

Notes

Know.

Your uploads become notes, each measured against a quality gate. Notes that copy, miss or sprawl are rebuilt once, and marked for review if they still fall short.

The tutor

It circles the line you got wrong.

Send your working. The tutor quotes back the one line that broke, written out by hand with the slip circled, then asks you to redo that line.

  • Help opens one rung at a time: Nudge, then Point, then the Worked step.
  • The Worked step stays locked until two Points have not landed.
  • Each session ends on where it leaves you, and what is next tonight.
The Tutor on the sample student's account: their working, E(X) = (5 + 10 + 20) / 3, quoted back by hand with the division by 3 circled and the words look again at line 1, then a question about how often each value happens, a request to redo that line, and the help ladder at a nudge.
Where it leaves you: the concept this session touched with its recall now, and the next thing on tonight's plan.
The hand note alone: the student's line with the division by 3 circled in rose, and the words look again at line 1.

The sample student’s account. The tutor’s reply and its hand note were written for this page to the tutor’s own rules, because the capture ran without a live model; the product drew them, and the help ladder and the session panel are its own.

The Notes bookshelf: one spine per course, the Statistics revision book open to its nine units.
A revision sheet from the Statistics book, Individuals and variables: its summary and four key ideas.
A lesson step, The long-run average, with its figure: twenty plays of one game as a dot plot, the mean marked as the balance point.
Study's unit card: Describing one variable, the days to the exam, the concepts held, and a box for what you did in class today.

Notes and Study

Revise from the sheet. Learn from the figure.

Every course is a revision book: a sheet per idea with its key points, a picture to think with and a margin for your own notes. Lessons take one concept in a few steps around a figure you can drag.

  • Figures are drawn from the numbers in front of you, and redraw when you move them.
  • Your own uploads come back as notes too; notes over 18% verbatim from the source are rebuilt once.
  • Study keeps the unit in view: days to the exam, concepts held, this week’s work.

The World and Your Score

An island that grows when learning sticks.

Every concept is a palm on your course’s avenue: planted when you start, built when you master it, wilting when it fades until a review revives it. Your Score reads the same evidence.

  • 10 shells for a concept built, 30 for a whole unit. Nothing is bought with time spent.
  • Memory, accuracy and coverage, each with the figures behind it.
  • The estimate stays back until four conditions hold, among them 3 attempts a concept and 60% of the course assessed.
The World for the sample student: their Statistics island, the course's avenue winding through palms to the village.
Your Score's overview for the sample student: hold and accuracy as rings, and no estimate yet, with what unlocks it.
Your Score's Memory reading for the sample student: what they can still recall, with the figures behind it.
The World's key: a palm per concept, not started, started, built or fading, and a landmark at the end of each unit.

Questions

Before you start.

Which courses are live?

8 AP courses are live today: AP Statistics, AP Physics 1, AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Precalculus and AP Biology. Across them there are 424 concepts and 2,841 practice and transfer questions, counted from what ships.

How does the estimate work, and when does it appear?

From your first answers, Your Score shows what your work shows so far: how much you still recall, how accurate you are and how much of the course you have covered. The estimate itself is a band for the AP score you are heading for, with the chance of each score, and it appears in one of two ways:

  • Early, for the units your class has covered, once each of them has at least two answers, on at least two different days, and the picture is precise enough. That is usually the placement check plus one set on a second day. The band says which units it covers, and it is drawn wider than the model alone would draw it.
  • For the whole course, once 60% of it, by weight, is assessed (a concept counts after 3 graded attempts, at least 2 of them not true or false), the estimate is precise enough, and the evidence is recent: a median of 30 days old or less.

Until then it says what would unlock it, and its integrity checks can still hold it back. It is computed from your work inside Marlio and is not a prediction of an official result.

How does the tutor help without giving the answer?

It asks for your attempt first, and gives no help on that turn. When an attempt does not land, help opens one rung at a time, shown under each reply: Nudge points at where the difficulty is without naming the move; Point names the idea that applies and hands the doing back to you; the Worked step opens only after two Points have not landed, and is followed straight away by a variant for you to do yourself. When a line of your working has a slip, the tutor quotes that line back by hand with the slip circled, rather than rewriting your work.

What should parents know?

Marlio is for students aged 13 and over: sign-up asks for the month and year of birth, refuses anyone who may be under 13, and keeps no birth date or age. There is no advertising, no comparison with other students, and no measure of mood, attention or effort. Marlio sends no notifications today; the score estimate is shown as a range, only once the evidence supports it, and only when the student opens Your Score. The student holds the account.

What happens to the data of students under 18?

Every account is treated as a possible minor. There is no advertising and no analytics or tracking script, and data is not sold. It goes only to the services that run Marlio: hosting and the database, the payment processor when a plan is bought, and the AI model provider. The model provider receives what the tutor needs to answer (the conversation, any file attached to it, the question being worked on and the student’s first name) and the files uploaded for notes; never an email address or an account identifier. From Settings, Privacy and your data, a student can download their data, or delete the account, which removes its progress, tutor conversations, notes and uploaded files; an account on a paid plan has to end the plan first.

How do cancelling and refunds work?

Free needs no card. Plus starts with a 7-day free trial; when it ends, the card is charged for the plan you chose, monthly or yearly, and the plan renews until you cancel it, as Premium does. Cram is one payment that ends on exam day. You cancel, change your card and see receipts on Stripe’s billing page, opened from Settings, Plan and billing. Refund terms are not published yet.

What devices does it work on?

Any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer; there is nothing to install. On a phone you can add Marlio to your home screen, where it opens in its own window like an app.
